varicocele

Varicocele

Varicocele is a condition in which the scrotal veins are dilated, analogous to varicose veins of the legs. Varicocele is a common cause of male infertility and may also be accompanied by pain, swelling, and testicular pain. Even though varicoceles are not necessarily symptomatic, over the course of time, they can impact sperm quality and quantity.

Symptoms of Varicocele:

  • Dull aching or discomfort in the scrotum
  • Visible or dilated veins in scrotum
  • Weight or swelling of testicles
  • Impaired sperm count or non-motile sperm
  • Infertility
